What will happen to the social pension if the length of service or points for an old-age pension are insufficient?

For citizens who have not worked or have not acquired the full length of service required to receive an insurance pension, a social pension will be assigned 5 years later than the new retirement age - at 65 years for women and 70 years for men. How will a pension be assigned if the retirement age came before January 1, 2020, and the citizen did not apply for a pension?

For such citizens, the right to retire according to the norms of the “old” pension law is preserved. This applies to those who earned the right to a pension before 2020.

A situation is possible when a citizen who has reached retirement age is not assigned an old-age pension due to the lack of a minimum length of service or the number of pension points. For this category, the minimum requirements for length of service and points do not change - they are fixed at the time of reaching retirement age.

The procedure is similar for assigning a social old-age pension.

Will the changes affect pension savings? When can I get these funds under the new law?

This provision of pension legislation remains unchanged. The right to payment of pension savings will be determined according to the current law.

Women will still be able to receive pension savings when they reach 55 years of age, men - 60 years of age, and early workers - even earlier. That is, accumulative payments can be established for a teacher or medical worker immediately after completing the required length of service.

First, you can receive a funded pension, and then, upon reaching a new retirement age, an insurance pension.

Pension savings, as today, can be paid in the form of a lump sum, urgent pension payment or funded pension.

Citizens who have reached the age of 55/60 years (including pensioners of law enforcement agencies), but have not earned the required pension points or length of service, will receive pension savings in a lump sum.

An application for payment must be submitted to the Pension Fund or to a non-state pension fund previously chosen by the citizen.

For people of pre-retirement age, the legislation retains a number of benefits. How will pre-retirement status be confirmed?

To receive tax benefits and the title of “Labor Veteran of the Chuvash Republic”, it is still necessary to reach the age of 55 or 60 years, depending on gender.

Family members of the deceased “Afghan” can also count on help from the state. So, they are paid 1,670.66 rubles monthly.

In addition, in 2020, the cost of NSO for federal beneficiaries has been revised. It is 1155.06 rubles. If a federal benefit recipient has used (or plans to use) the full range of social services, then the above amount will be deducted from the EDV.
